Enjoy a peaceful September morning identifying your favorite flower through the use of sketching and using a field guide. We will spend a short time indoors learning the parts of a flower, how to sketch a flower that you want to identify, and some basic instruction as to how to use the Peterson First Guide to Wildflowers field guide. The rest of the time will be spent outside in the beautiful prairie of Goodenow Grove Nature Preserve, armed with a journal, a pencil and a field guide. Bring your favorite wildflower field guide, a hand lens and a camp chair or a mat for sitting on the ground. This program takes place both indoors and outdoors on uneven, natural terrain. Ages 16 or older. Registration required by Wednesday, September 4: 708.946.2216.
